Caribou
Barren Ground Caribou are found throughout
Alaska from the Kenai Peninsula to Point Barrow.  With a population of over one million animals statewide, caribou are Alaska’s most abundant game animal.   Caribou herds are very cyclical; several of the most hunted herds have crashed in recent years due to environmental factors.  Most caribou hunts are conducted in mountainous or tundra terrain.  Hunters can expect to see numerous caribou daily.  Large caribou sport impressive antlers that look too large for their body.    Full Curl Outdoors offers hunts in Arctic Alaska in areas with some of the lowest hunting pressure in the state.  Caribou are a great animal for a first Alaska hunt.  High success rates and relatively low cost make caribou a great hunt for groups also.  Caribou may also be added to many bear, sheep, or moose hunts.
